How To Control your Anger?

Don't lose control if you get angry. Taking it out on others never solves anything.

Here are some things to do when you are angry:
  • talk to a friend you can trust
  • count to 10
  • get or give a hug
  • do jumping jacks or another exercise
  • draw a picture of your anger
  • run around the outside of the house five times as fast as you can
  • sing along with the stereo
  • pull weeds in the garden
  • think good thoughts (maybe about a fun vacation or your favorite sport)
Never getting angry is impossible. Instead, remember that how you act when you're angry can make the situation better or worse. Don't let anger be the boss of you. Take charge of it!

Now Here are some Bible Verses for you, so when the next time you wanna explode, this will pop to your mind:

Proverbs 14:29

A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly

Matthew 5:22

But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca, ' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

  • James 4:1-2

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?  You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.
  • Proverbs 16:32

Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.
  • Proverbs 22:24

Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered,

    Colossians 3:8

But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

    Proverbs 15:1

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

    • Proverbs 29:11

A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.
    • James 1:20

for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.

How To Take Care of yourself when Depressed

  • Aim for eight hours of sleep
Depression typically involves sleep problems. Whether you’re sleeping too little or too much, your mood suffers. Get on a better sleep schedule by learning healthy sleep habits.

  • Expose yourself to a little sunlight everyday
Lack of sunlight can make depression worse. Make sure you’re getting enough. Take a short walk outdoors, have your coffee outside,or sit out in the garden. Aim for at least 15 minutes of sunlight a day to boost your mood.
  • Keep stress in check
Not only does stress worsen depression, but it can also trigger it.  Figure out all the things in your life that stress you out.

  • Practice relaxation techniques

A daily relaxation practice can help relieve symptoms of depression, reduce stress, and boost feelings of joy and well-being.

  • Care for a pet
Pets can bring joy and companionship into your life and help you feel less isolated. Caring for a pet can also get you outside of yourself and give you a sense of being needed—both powerful antidotes to depression.

Types of negative thinking that add to depression

All-or-nothing thinking

Looking at things in black-or-white categories, with no middle ground (“If I fall short of perfection, I’m a total failure.”)

Overgeneralization

Generalizing from a single negative experience, expecting it to hold true forever (“I can’t do anything right.”)

The mental filter

Ignoring positive events and focusing on the negative. Noticing the one thing that went wrong, rather than all the things that went right.

Diminishing the positive

Coming up with reasons why positive events don’t count (“She said she had a good time on our date, but I think she was just being nice.”)

Jumping to conclusions

Making negative interpretations without actual evidence. You act like a mind reader (“He must think I’m pathetic”) or a fortune teller (“I’ll be stuck in this dead end job forever”)

Emotional reasoning

Believing that the way you feel reflects reality (“I feel like such a loser. I really am no good!”)

‘Shoulds’ and ‘should-nots’

Holding yourself to a strict list of what you should and shouldn’t do, and beating yourself up if you don’t live up to your rules.

Labeling

Labeling yourself based on mistakes and perceived shortcomings (“I’m a failure; an idiot; a loser.”)

We all have negative thoughts, it's normal, but we have to stop them if possible. we can't just let them go around our minds and make us weak. Honestly, we are the ones who create all this thoughts in our head, as if we are fortune tellers or mind readers. We don't have to worry about what's going to happen next or what people think about us. we just can't please everyone. This is YOUR life, so take it and enjoy it, in a Good Way! Never forget to call GOD when you are in trouble because he is the only one who listens to you 24/7 and he is the only one who can save you

Dealing with Depression

Depression drains your energy, hope, making it difficult to do what you need to feel better. But while overcoming depression isn't quick or easy, it’s far from impossible.  Feeling better takes time, but you can get there if you make positive choices for yourself each day.

Depression self-help tip 1Turn to trusted friends and family members
Share what you’re going through with the people you love and trust. Ask for the help and support you need. Don't hesitate to approach them because you think that they might call you an attention whore, you are going through some serious stuff and you deserve to be treated well by the people around you.

Depression self-help tip 2:  Challenge negative thinking
You can’t break out of this pessimistic mind frame by “just thinking positive.” Happy thoughts or wishful thinking won’t cut it. Rather, the trick is to replace negative thoughts with more balanced thoughts.
Depression self-help tip 3: Take care of yourself
Have some ' Me time' or just do whatever that pleases you. It may Drawing, working out, eating or watching your favorite TV series. ( I have some posts about living a healthy and happy lifestyle. You can check them out if you want x )

Depression self-help tip 5: Eat a healthy, mood-boosting diet
I know it's hard to eat when you are depressed, but challenge yourself. NEVER SKIP MEALSeat something at least every three to four hours.

I know it's really hard to Deal with Depression, and it won't just happen Overnight. Take Baby steps and you will get used to it. If all of this won't work, call for a Professional Help and by Someone Professional I mean GOD. Pray to him, ask for his Presence and I promise you, He will make you feel 100% better. because God is Greater than our Problems, Nothing is impossible with him, Leave ALL of your Problems to God, Don't stress about anything because that will just waste your golden time. :)

have a blessed day!
