♡ Have some ME Time ♡

  • Do mindful inquiry: what is keeping me from being in the present? This can sometimes reveal the hidden influence of your most ingrained emotional patterns.
  • Abandon any hope of fruition.
  • Respect leads to caring and skillful actions.
  • Sitting in meditation is nourishment for your spirit and nourishment for your body.
  • You have to generate love for yourself first.
  • Regard everything as though in a dream.
  • Fully appreciate the learning and love that life offers us in each moment, to feel less desire for material luxuries that deprive others of scarce resources.
  • We hide behind the stories we tell our self and others o get what we think we want. This just makes us feel incomplete and alienated from our authentic self.
  • If you are overweight, why not accept it as a description of your body at this time? It is all right to love yourself at the weight you are now because this is the only time you can love yourself. You have to accept yourself as you are before you can really change. When you start thinking this way losing weight becomes less important and also becomes a lot easier. By intentionally cultivating acceptance, you are creating preconditions for healing. Acceptance doesn't mean like everything or a passive attitude abandoning principles and values. Acceptance is simply coming around to a willingness to see things as they are. You are much more likely to know what to do and have the inner conviction to act when you have a clear picture of what is actually happening then when your vision is clouded by judgments, desires, fears, prejudices.
  • Meditation practice should always be inclusive and workable.
  • You find both your questions and answers right where you are.
  • It is possible to use speech to become awake. We can become mindful of what we are doing when we speak, of what the motivation is and how we are feeling. We can also be mindful in listening.
  • Your mind is like a sharp blade. It can cut cleanly through obstacles and perform intricate dissections. But it's a dangerous weapon if you turn it against yourself or fail to use it responsibly or efficiently. Be aware that your mind is only a tool: let it lie unused from time to time to remind yourself of this.
  • Make every effort not to indulge in negative thoughts, cruel words, and bad deeds.
